Don't know how difficult it would be to implement but so many people think it important to separate the input stage from the output stage that I have to ask the question.
I have not looked at the monumental F5 thread for quite awhile, maybe this has been discussed there.
I have a J2 which I have no complaints with but would not mind it being better.

no way , Jose , meaning on J2;
either regulating voltage for entire amp , or nothing
construction prevent that - biasing of lower output Jfet is based on neg PSU leg - so same must be common for both input and output stage
on the other side - positive leg - input stage have it in a way already regulated - with CCS
