I didn't care much for reggae until a classmate lend me the album Rastafire by Errol Scorcher & The Revolutionaries. From that moment I was hooked on reggae/dub. Not much later I got an electric bass guitar from my dad and with some friends started an 8 piece band, playing reggea and ska.

I'm a big fan of Adrian Sherwood's On-U-Sound records and from getting into the band TackHead years ago in high school which turned me on to dub after buying a few second hand albums from the label. One of my favorites is Singers and Players. They are more of a revolving door of musicians than a steady group but great nonetheless.

Tonight on channel 4 in France @ 21.10 - the Bob Marley gig from 77 at the Rainbow Theatre in London - turn up the volume - if you've got it, smoke it, I shall be legal with a nice red - slantje.
Two days ago there was a great Burning Spear concert at Reggae Lake in Amsterdam. Winston Rodney is 77 now, according to Wikipedia, but he can still sing, play bongos and dance.
