Rega transistors, removing

I have a Rega Mira integrated amplifier that I've decided to cannibalize for parts. Most of it comes undone easily, however, the output trannies seem to be "bonded" to the case, as opposed to the traditional screws. I've tried to pry them gently, but they're not budging. Any advice on how to get them out?

Yes that's it. The "clamshell" design.

There's a long clamp bar on top of them, so it would be odd if they were mechanically attached at all.
Try soaking the area in some alcohol, and they should pop off with a screwdriver.

Yes I've removed the bar. There is nothing else holding them on, it seems. I'll try that. Thanks.

This is a primitive amp with cheap parts. The only useful use of its parts is in the amp itself.

Probably thermal pads - some are designed to compress and harden in use, act as quite an effective glue, pry them off carefully with a knife blade perhaps?

Selling the working amp would yield a nice budget for new parts - and no waste.
