Rega Brio 2017 inputs selector fault

Hi I have a Rega Brio 2017 amplifier, I can't select any input, neither with the push button on the front nor with the remote control. I can't get the service manual and have only been able to check voltages, I suspect the microcontroller, but changing it and programming it´s out of my reach, Any ideas, other causes of this fault?
Thanks

Yes that will be the microcontroller as it has relays for input selection.

You could check if it has supply voltage and if you are that very lucky person it may just be its voltage regulator, a bad ceramic resonator or simply bad soldering. If defective maybe you can order it (programmed) at Rega? A local repair company should be able to replace it.

Higher marketed audio brands, you gotta love them 🙂

If everything is under uP control then look and see if it has any form of backup cap or backup battery. If it does then beside checking it is OK you should also isolate it, make sure no voltage is present on the board and then press some tinfoil over all the leads on the uP to short everything out. Leave it like that for a an hour or two, remove the foil and power up without the battery or cap present and see if it works.

Without more details its all guess work 🙂

Thanks for the quick help, the voltages of 5VDC and 3.3 VDC, are correct, the latter is the supply voltage of the µC , these SOIC chips are first assembled and then programmed, I doubt it can be done otherwise. Right next to the PIC there is a connector on the PCB, I guess to program it. I'll ask for a quote but I'm not optimistic, I'm sure it will be expensive. If the repair is not affordable I have thought of shorting one of the relays and thus have, at least, a functional output.

Does the oscillator work OK? And I think I see a buffer IC to drive the relays. What about that one? Functioning OK? You could measure to see if inputs become high/low when giving a command. Just make sure not to short-circuit anything while measuring.
