Recently I got an Revox b77 mkII reel to reel recorder
I need to interface it with my preamp (a line amp designed by Erno Borbely - TAA 2/91)
The output level is quite high for the recommended value of the Revox (AUX - 40mV)
I need to step down the line level.
I put an op-amp circuit at the input followed by a resistor divider
However I don't know if this is the best way to do it
Any recommendations?

Seems OK to me. Still I would increase R values in the attenuator. I think opamps would be happier with 2-4k load, e.g. 2k7 with 390R. For cable length < 1m should be completely fine.
Why not use a simple trimpot either on preamp output or at Revox input?I put an op-amp circuit at the input followed by a resistor divider
If you do not want to change them then a voltage divider of two resistors can be accommodated in the RCA jack of the signal cable.
