Reel to Reel Tape, 10.5"

My Revox B77 needs new tape! Can anyone out there tell me where I can actually buy new 10.5" tapes in the UK. There are one or two dealers advertising them on the net but haven't had new stock for ages!

I bought what I needed on ebay.

Canford Audio. If you can find empty 10.5" spools, you can save a packet by buying the tape in pancake form.

I have also bought tapes off ebay but not with much luck. Every Ampex tape suffered from 'stick tape' syndrome and the Scotch ones just shedded my heads with oxide! The only good ones were Zonal (ex BBC) or Maxell which I bought from the USA. The carriage on the USA deals whacked the price up though! There doesn't seem th be many Maxell or TDK available in the UK.

Quantegy still seems to be in business making recording

I know they're not in the UK but these guys have lots of stuff.

I believe that Quantegy is the same as Ampex. This always did deteriorate badly with age - I don't know if the current stuff's any better.
