Reducing CD player output: suggestions?

Listen up.

Stabby... you really might find it better to make up a lead or a small plug in attenuator. Altering the players is fine (absolutely no problem) but you might regret it if you want to quickly use them with something else. You would have to undo the mod.

The 610 diagram shows a headphone amp running of the line output. Modding that player would alter the headphone level too.

Impuls... altering the feedback resistor on the I/V stage will certainly change the level but it will also change the behaviour that the time constants C and CL introduce. The amount of attenuation Stabby needs could be as high as 10:1 if using with old Din or earlier specced gear.
