Reduceing screen display instead of ribbon adjusting

Hows thing guys and girls Im new here nice to meet you all,
I have a question about useing lcd monitors ,instead of lengthening the ribbon cable, can you reduce the screen size so it all fits in that way you just have to block out the circuit boards with black paper or card? Any suggestions would be appreciated
have tried software to reduce the screen but no luck yet?

I guess it would be possible but you really wouldnt wanna do that. When shrinking the image of an LCD you loose resolution. So the smaller you shrink the picture the worse it's gonna look. You might as well just use a panel that doesnt have a ribbon.
