Hi,
after 25 Years of operation, my former top-of-the line Denon CD-Player looses track, i.e. the music is interupted and restarts from a different position. Some CD even do not read the TOC.
I got the service manual. Laser current is still within the specs but HF-level is too low (should be > 600 mV; measured 450 mV). The problem is, that the laser pickup isn't available any more.
Since CD-players are old-fashioned anyway, my idea is to put a streaming frontend into the box and use the DAC and analog section of the player as a streaming client.
Anybody out here who did such a mod so far?
Best Regards
