Recommend video editing software

Anyone have decent, inexpensive software for video editing?

Considering the different types of editing tasks one can make and the number of available video formats, there is a very wide range of products out there. Since you have not specified what your needs are, I'll start with my personal experience. A while back, using a video capture card, I transcribed some LaserDiscs to my computer. I then did some simple cropping and editing using an open-source application called Avidemux. You can download a copy from Cnet, where you can also find many other free and free-to-try video editing software.

You get some really good video editing software (iMovie) free with every Apple Mac.

For PC - Lightworks. Pro and free. I used it couple of times as a newbie. Easy to learn, you have lessons on YT
