space is verry minimal and would like to get the absolute most from this sub and 8" is the biggest i can use so no 10s or 12s

i am into car audio and even though they are bigger and usually have a higher x max i cant sem to find a decent car audio woofer to fit my needs most companies make 10-18"subs

Yeah forgot about that one, you're right needtubes. That one is ahead of the Tang Band and the price is low.

The MCM is a clone of the Tang Band, and is capable of greater excursion. However, some report that it's suspension weakens over time. MCM's specs are off, too. Search the archives if you are interested. It's similar to the Tang Band but with a higher VAS.
I've used the MCM in a T-Line and a 1 cu ft passive radiator system. It's great for the money either way. Due to the lower VAS, the Tang Band will work in a smaller vented box. If you've got the extra $15, the TB is probably worth it.

I have used that MCM 8" and it's a great value. The advertised 16mm xmax is a bit optimistic. I'd say 13mm is the most your getting before distortion skyrockets... But for a $24 driver it's still well worth the money
