Hello, was hoping I could get some good input with this.
I just bought a used amp from a store. When they shipped they took out the tubes to protect them. They did label them so I know which tube is for what pot.
But do I need to check bias after I put them back in?
I would assume it was set properly in the first place, then you take out tubes for a few days and reinstall the same tubes. Not sure if that would throw anything off.
So far I have heard mixed answers, some say yes rebias some say ahh its ok youll be fine.
Sound is something I can tweak later on, right now the only thing preventing me from putting them back in and plugging in the amp is just that I spent a lot of money on the amp and am scared to do something to mess it up.
What do you guys think? Is it safe to go with out a rebias?

You are most likely safe. If it was adjusted prior, and the tubes are replaced in their original locations it should be fine. Changing/new tubes and aging in general are reasons for rechecking and adjusting the bias.
