Not as bad as some examples here, and this is actually fairly polished for them. But I spent 4 months of my life locked in a French warehouse then a Soviet hockey rink with these guys. I was the front of house sound engineer. I have never fully recovered.

i'm sorry, but some of these are downright pleasant compared to this

described as one of the least "commercial" "popular" albums ever made.
IMO that's an exceptional album, by far the best PIL ever recorded (PIL is one of my favorite, together with And Also the Trees, Wire, Einstuerzende Neubauten, Gang of Four, Julian Cope and a few more brit bands of my generation).
De gustibus...
unfortunately I have to agree with Waly
Wow, this is a very serious offence. By design, nobody should agree with me, that's also bad for you and your standing.
Take it back, or you will suffer the consequences.

Beat me to it, this was a fave. I have a pile of EN too not since Mr Popa have I seen a fellow traveler. Ever try Pere Ubu or the Dead Boys, from the Yankee side?
BTW FYI PIL's "Banging the Door" was used as a "pop" sample on the very first SONY test CD back circa 1982 or so.

Hmmm... I kinda like Melt Banana . Not sure why.
Lol, likewise. Suddenly the thread morphed into the next bad music for my car's USB.
complot bronswick reminds me of a peverse Gallic The Fall. Happy Flowers and the like were perennial favorites of magazines like Forced Exposure and Japanese bands like Boris are staple listens.
Sticking with Japan...

Funny, I guess my tongue-in-cheek comment was taken literally .
While I still was in her womb, mommy gave me a good dose of Wire, UK Subs, The Pogues, PIL, The Slits, Joy Division, Siouxie Sioux, Crass, The Damned, Buzzcocks, The Stranglers, The Clash, Subhumans. All both live and on records.
There's very bad, but you have to be extremely talented to do something THIS bad. I bought the CD way back when, thinking the title was just a title, but no, it turned out to be an accurate description:

yes, one of the most brilliant and perverse musical minds of several generations was FZ -but not a fan of the Jazz idiom at all.
Kind of in the Zappa realm is Pat Metheny's Forward March. The dissonance and discords are unpleasant enough to be humorous. But also requires skilled musicianship to pull it off.
