Hello,

New here. My right channel sounds lower in volume compared to the left channel. I've ruled out the speakers since I switched everything and was able to replicate the issue but opposite. The best way I can describe it is theres a little less highs and less rumble in the right channel. I recently had work done on it but they couldn't solve the issue. Anyone have a similar problem?

Only the electrolytics, nothing specific.
With a mono two channel input, is the problem still there?
If you temporarily inject a signal on C501/601, is the matter then resolved? That proves the amplifiers.
If the mono is switched in and that doesn't resolve the issue and you have equal sound with signal injected on C501/601 then the problem is possibly either the volume control or balance control.

On many receivers I see sometimes one channel gets stuck in the "loudness" mode due to a bad/dirty loudness switch. That would explain why the right channel sounds weaker, less highs and less rumble. This means the left channel is the channel with a problem, stuck in "loudness" mode. Easy to check with a square wave and an o'scope.
