My GRS suggestion was because they used those popular tweeters in AR, Marantz, and other popular speakers
The real Altec Lansing also and according to some folks that have tried them in their 879A Santana systems [3.5 kHz/1st XO] gave a big thumbs up.

Do you have the original crossovers?
Even if the original crossover consisted simply of a capacitor in series with the tweeter - as suspected - that would be classified as a "passive" crossover.
I think you mean "replacements" when you say "passives"?
Yeah but if the original works fine I guess I won’t need too. Didn’t have any issues I just removed the tweeters because I was testing a junk Sony amp with bass and treble on separate channels … lmao
My rtr had blown x overs , but not sure if I’ll bother repairing those or not …
I have pulled those woofers below. Decent. Box needs work.
I would consider a WAW with a FR used as midTweet. A dgger or a chunck of PVC out the back to create a midTL.
Lots of decent 3: drivers. (Alpair 5.2/3, CHN50, FF85wk, FP 3Fxx as my faves).
