There was an article published sometime ago (can't remember where----"senior moment") that recommended replacing the coupling caps, I believe the author used Auricaps, and was impressed with the result. These are single tube (6Bm8) if I recall correctly.

Regards
Pete

Here are the specs and schematic - I also own these and interested in some tweaks. Previous owner replaced the Illusion capacitors with (Jensen .22uf/630v oil caps bypassed with .01uf Vitamin Q's).

Many thanks... Nate

Ok, some general suggestions in $$$ order for your amp:

1) Nichicon Muse or Elna Cerafine cathode bypass capacitorss on preamp/ power amp tubes.

2) Ultrafast power supply diodes and better power supply caps.

3) Inductors in the power supply (say 5-10H 80mA) between first and second cap ( remove the resistor)

4) better output transformers

ECL82 is a nice sounding valve. 😉
