Re-soldering, the myth about better flow?

Use plenty of flux, there is normally enough solder on the board.
Do not 'overcook' the board and use a good quality iron with the correct temperature bit.
Speed is of the essence and look for any heavy component as in the audio industry, transformers, chokes and heavy capacitors, develop dry joints. Normally with good trained eyes, these can be easily spotted. Literally!

Last case happen to my partner, he get a not expensive flux and have a brand too here in Indonesia
Badly, that was a fake flux
He almost burning device he was repaired
After it, i am trying to search original flux here
The answer : i have to buy it from US or EU for getting an original flux and not cheap too
Also it take more time for delivery and customs check too
Next time i will buy an original flux only used for me not bussines cause my customers always want cheap cost

Dry joint, it only takes one to cause a circuit failure... The skill is determining where the fault is a sorting it. This way you know where and how the gear failed. The first area to look in the gear you have mentioned is components that go through extreme heat cycles (power resistors) etc. these are the likely candidates for thermal stress causing a dry joint. There is no magic in this and it will save solder, avoid adding problems and you get to know what went wrong.

You are right...
Every time i get a broken device so i must do it(have been re-soldering by me) get re-soldering for components that directly meet power line or get bug supply, even just a zener diode or caps
Like this one, my parents old radio tape get many re-soldering for all components on its power line and ground
And some others before, example a CCTV(my relative) get trouble on power supply regulator curcuit(Japan brand but made in China)
It costing almost a small tube of solder paste and 4 hours work time for re-soldering it
Cause before, it has problem that always make its hard disk broken, every time he changes new one hard disk
After re-soldering until now there is no problem cause it helps him save his money(many CCTV repairers here always put high price for fixing CCTV even a broken cable)
