I did. would it be the first time a product was built or modified contrary to the schematic that is in front of you?
Infinity is notorious for making changes in the midst of production, so any schematic is at best a starting point.
Good to see classic Infinity speakers being refurbed, though. I completely updated my RSIIbs a few years ago, and pulled the crossovers out of the cabinets into separate enclosures. I could then fit much larger 8 gauge bass inductors, all film caps, and properly space the circuits to minimize crosstalk. The main points where issues crop up are in the rheostats, connectors and any electrolytic caps usually found on the bass drivers.
