I wanted to try two cheap 8 inch full-range drivers on a small baffle. The idea of the second unit was to reinforce bass so I cut off the whizzer cones.
I prefer the sound with just one driver per baffle and a friend wants to try these drivers so I thought I'd let him have my second pair.
So my question is can I glue the whizzer cones back on? I have listened to them without and in some ways, they are better but they don't really go high enough to be used without a helper tweeter.

I've tried some water based paint for wood, and it seems to work good on metal cone and dust caps. It can even be removed using alcohol.
Thanks guys.
Having listened longer, I may prefer the sound minus the whizzer cones anyway! It's a hard call! 🙂
