RCM - Pump Selection

Looking to find a suitable pump for a Lorocraft style RCM and had a few questions...

-Noticed many seem to use 'oilless pumps' as opposed to the cheap $100 pumps you see online. My assumption is that the oiled ones introduce oil into the air or something as a by-product of how it works? Thomas Pumps look ideal but they don't pop up as often as they used to.

-Is a 18lpm flow too much for an RCM? My reading has told me 1-1.5cfm would be sufficient. Curious if anyone has run into a "too much" or "not enough" situation with suction. The one I am looking at has valves on input and output to control flow (I believe flow).

There are a few sub $100 pumps used in my area and am considering going to check on a few and see what suits me best. One is a suction unit from a medical facility... I figure if it can suck crap out people's mouths all day it can clean a few records.

Any help would be great. This has always been the trickier part of the project for me. Any help is appreciated.
