RCF L10/568h

Hi!

I'm still searching for a high efficiency loudspeaker to match with my RCF ND1411 for a home use. I've got the HF101 horn but I'm not sure to use it in this application.

I've got a B&C 8PS21 and I want to change it ( I think it's quite a nice woofer but not to use up to 3 Khz, about where my passive crossover cuts it).

I first planned to purchase another 8" but I'd like a woofer tha's able to go down to 80 Hz easily and the B&C sounds to reach its first limits at 110 Hz. So now I'm having a look on the 10 " and am particularly interested in the RCF L10/568H.

My questions:

Has someone got or heard it?

Its frequency range is said to begin at 50 Hz but its fs is 70Hz😕 Do you think I could reach the 80 Hz with it?

One more last question: what do you think of the driver on the horn quoted above? RCF suggests this match but I wonder whether it will go up enough. This driver is said to be better above 4/5 Khz. Now I use it on the B&C ME10 horn and it goes quite high almost like a tweeter. I might loose some brilliance with the HF101...

Here we are, I've told you all. Can I have your opinion?🙂

Very few DIYers use Pro drivers, and most of them I think would be using JBL, Altec or possibly Eminence, simply because there are more US/Anglo builders who are familiar with those drivers.

RCF's have always looked good to me, but are too expensive to try. I do have an 18P300 though that I will use someday in my bass guitar rig.

Hi Brett,

Thanks for answering.

All right then. Now I know why I've got no answer before yours.

RCF's speakers are largely used in France, granted especially in PA applications. But since I've got the ND1411 driver, I'd like to widen my experience of their speakers...

the RCF L8S800 has very good among audiophiles and PA people.

The L10568H I hope too. NEXO put it in its PS10, if I remember well.

As an 8" it will definitely go higher

I had a look on the curves again and you seem to be right.

Will you use a subwoofer with your system?

Yes, I will. That's why I'd like it to go down at least to 80Hz.
