Rather odd valve socket - anyone have any ideas?

I picked up a fair few of the attached valve sockets from a guy getting rid of a lot of gear recently. Does anyone have any idea what they are for? I've never seen anything quite like it.

These will probably end up in the market place forum in the next week or so, in the meantime I wouldn't mind knowing what on earth they are for.

Hi,

Those are for Nixie tubes, and maybe some counter valves.
Nixie tubes are number tubes. It has 10 cathodes and one anode. Each cathode is formed as a number from 0-9. Some have other kinds of symbols. The tubes are filled with Neon gas so that the cathode glow orange when grounded.
Don't remeber any type number that uses that socket. But ZM1000 is an eksample of a Nixie tube.

Best regards,

Magnus
