Hi Guys,
as I have the possibility to use a rate of x256 or x512 fs for the Masterclock from the I2S lines of CM6631A to my PCM2PWM Modulator (TAS3308), I was wondering which one would be best to use.
Both x256 and x512 fs rates are working for the masterclock (in 44.1/48 Khz only). With x256 I have a Masterclock of 12,288 mhz and with x512 it is 24,576 mh for 48 khz. Is there any scientific reason to use the higher masterclock, e.g. for beeing more accurate?
The crystals used on cm6631A are both above 40 mhz.
Thanks!
