hi i have got a radiovox amplifier very heavy built like a tank but i dnt knw the spec of this amp it is well made. so i am posting a picture of it so that anyone out there can tell me some information on it.

com on folks am desperate to find information on this amplifier i cant seem to find any info on it. Anyway how would i measure the watts on this amp it very loud i got three speakers connected in series =20 ohms and 310 watts altogether i cant turn it up past number 5 on the volume pot before the speakrs start to crackle loudly.

here is another image of the inner works of the amp
it has two power supplies one is the square one and one is underneath the centre circuit board it is i think torrid circle type transformer.

how did u know that just from the circuit board cos it does say 100v line on the speaker outlet at the back what does it mean just i need to know how loud it is rms wise?
It's for 100V loudspeakers, they used that for intercom systems.
High voltage = Low current= Low power loss at long distances.
Means you do not need fancy thick wires.

how would i find out the total rms of this amplifier just says radiovox leeds on it it looks custom made. it looks like it was hand made.
For one, the output transformer size, probably somewhere between 100 and 200 Watts.
The name RadioVOX is also a giveaway btw, VOX means something like Voltage-Operated-Xover.

all i knw it got two type transformer am good at making burnin laser drivers not audio i got multimeter i can measure voltage not ma that dont work on my multimeter.
i got 310 watts 20 ohyms (speakers wired in series) speaker attached they sound like they gona pop when i put past 5 on the volume. i got four of them round transistors they are attcahed on the outside heatsink.
That's because an amp like that is supposed to be hooked up to loudspeakers that have a transformer too : to transform high voltage back to high current.
okay but if i leave on volume 5 they sound good with out any problems they do seem to make pop sound when i turn on/off the amp but that normal just discharge.
do you think there is potential that this amp can be modded you know better soudn quality and maybe higher watts.

Nope.
A: it's not a stereo amp
B: if you yank out the power section you end up with a low grade single line stage, and who needs a mic input.

not even little bit of mod on anything like better capacitor, high value in volts and capictence for better store charge may improve something on the amp.
Affirmative.
It's a very nice sturdy case, there are lots of high quality audio amp designs floating around in this sewer.
For some of them it's easy enough to obtain pro-quality amps boards, and before you know it you'll be an experienced ampy builder.
A decent amp case is more than half the cost for a few amp projects, and the biggest hurdle for most.
