Radio Shack Digital Wireless Audio Link
CAT. NO. 15-1974
I am trying to modify this unit by taking out the wireless receiver
and replacing it with line level inputs . . .I've already done this
to the Accurian Receiver(great thread in DIY Audio).
Unfortunately, by pulling the "wireless" receiver there is not a
simple place to plug in. There is a double row socket of 32 each.
They are labeled. Some are even labeled L Audio, GND, A Mute,
etc. I will upload a picture tomorrow.
I tried connecting to the L Audio and GND connection, but no sound.
There is DC offset on both channels. . . .so the signal is just not
getting past the socket to the Amplifier.
The amplifier is a TDA7265 with the -20V on the heat sink.
There is a Mute/Standby function on the chip and I think this
is what is preventing it from working. Based on the +V supply,
the voltage needs to be -6V from that value across pin 5 to get
the amp to fire up.
Once I figure this out, I think I will be able to get the amp fired
up and running.
If anyone has had experience with the TDA7265 or this type of
modification, I would greatly appreciate it.

I got the system working.
Just needed to hook up to the real ground 'G2' not the one
labeled 'G' next to L 'Out' and 'R Out'
Should I add an input capacitor to block DC?

UPDATE.
Sounds good (not great), but better than the Accurian™ HomePlug® Digital Audio Receiver/Amplifier from another thread.
The Accurain is a multichip amp while this one is a single chip TDA7265
Played for about 5 hours yesterday at moderate volume on a full
range speaker. . .

Just pulled it out of the box and fired it up again. . . still sounds
great. . . not as easy to mod as other RS amplifier but sounds
better overall. . .quieter. . .

I realize this is a really old post but just picked up one of these units at a garage sale and was wondering exactly how you got by the mute/standby function.
Snagged one of these at the Goodwill today. Have been dinking with ChromeCast and inexpensive PanLong HDMI DACs. Perfect fit for this little amp.
Three wires. Might try to find a way to power the CC from the amp, but for now its provided SMPS is fine. Small hole cut in back panel for the CC to plug in, super-glued the DAC to the panel. Will add a couple screws / nuts at some point.
Streaming from Deezer via my 'droid phone. Sounds great!
