Radial DI Box Repair advice

I Have a couple of these passive Radial DI Boxes.
The transformer are all broken with some of the pcb mounting pins having disconnected themselves from the transformer internal windings.
I have sourced some replacement transformers made by OEP.
They are square shaped and have a wider pin spacing than the original circular transformers.
The problem is their pins have a different footprint.
I was thinking of making an adapter pcb and standing it off the board slightly.
Any other ideas??

Desolder the old transformer. Install wire leads in the PCB. Keep track of what goes where!

Glue the OEP upside down on the PCB where the old iron was. -OR- if it won't fit there, on a side-wall.

Bring the wires to the OEP's pins in the right order.
