I felt shocked...
A man leaving so suddenly, while we were reading his active, very helpful posts... 🙁
We all hope he rests in peace..

This thread is a great testament to how he has moved all of us. I always enjoyed reading his posts as he was very knowledgeable and his humor and subtle sarcasm kept things interesting. He knew how to diffuse conflict and keep things on track. Probably why he had the job of keeping us monkeys in line. He will be missed but always remembered. Thanks Lars (tinitus) for your contributions and your time spent here.
Condolences to your immediate family and your family here.
Peace

Yes indeed, life is short! I didn't know Lars too well, but I did enjoy "Tinnitus"....& he was writing right up onto his demise. In a strange twist, I'm 57 also.........as it turned out, Myself & the missus woke up this morning & in the afternoon we found out my Mother-in-law had died, the wife was beside herself.....We walked the block & a half to her house........Wow, I just looked, Lars was 57 years old. Life is too short.

Did not know him personally, but when his posts came up in a thread, I knew it was always to say something interesting or keep tensions to a minimum.
A great loss.
Rest in Peace Lars

I am deeply saddened to read of his passing. While I did not know Lars well, we had exchanged a few emails.
He was always helpful, and courteous.
RIP Lars. You will be missed

Lars, you were always kind. In my book, that mattered most. This is my dedication. Not a very good recording, but it'll do. Friend, you were and are not alone. Not ever.
I want to echo what SY said a number of posts back, that it is really heartening to see this outpouring of respect for the man. You didn't have to post, yet each and everyone of you took the time to say something. I think that speaks volumes about the diyAudio community.
Thank you.
Thank you.
