Haha yes, my DCX2496 has the behringermods IO in it which omits the (noisy) muting transistors. If I forget that and off the dsp first it's rather nasty 😆
Just a note - I have 4 XPA1002 amps. Three have a larger label and one a smaller one. The one with the smaller label is the newest and it does seem to have around 3 dB less gain than the others and it also behaves a bit better while turning off. It was actually the one that I suspected that the signal LEDs were off by 3dB. I guess it must be an updated model. It is a pity that all 4 units are not the same, I will have to get another one to have at least two pairs - since I wanted to have two per side for a 4 way system. The extra one will find its use for sure - indepedent test amp or as an amp for third way next to my EPQ304.
