This site lists the amp as a class C amp.

I always viewed the amp as a class AB. Am I wrong?

I think in this context, the writer isn't talking about the operation of the amp (which is AB), but his own ranking of amp quality.
Thank you SY for your response.
After reading the article I do question the authors judgement and qualifications. The bad thing is that others reading his article will be swayed by his lack of knowledge.
I tried to email him but couldn't get it to work.

I visited an excellent winery in Burgundy a few years ago, following a rather curious set of negative reviews by a very well-known wine critic of questionable abilities. The chief winemaker was a very quiet, reserved fellow whose nickname was "The Accountant." Superbly talented, but difficult to draw out. However, when he spoke, the room would go silent. And he would speak VERY precisely.
The wines were, of course, superb. At some point, the conversation drifted to the recent negative reviews by the incompetent critic. The Accountant observed, quietly and slowly, "The problem with freedom of the press..." and here, his eyes started to flash in the only emotion he would show, "...is that people can publish any sort of nonsense that they wish."
