That Sq dome is well protected by the integral grill. It must have taken a determined effort to dent it. Almost certainly that of a tiny finger!
re:'AD0210/SQ8" - I've got a spare one in good nick you can have for free; Sydney is a long drive from Adelaide though..... I think Express post is ~$20?
yep, same 😅I'd be worried that things might go wrong during disassembly.

you mean like with mouth suction?Maybe you can do something with a straw?
holy crap - this is very generous - thank you.re:'AD0210/SQ8" - I've got a spare one in good nick you can have for free; Sydney is a long drive from Adelaide though..... I think Express post is ~$20?

I guess owlexifry will just have to suck it and see!

update:
the generously offered replacement AD0210/SQ8 was well received from @PeteMcK on Friday afternoon.
in perfect condition.
much better.
during the install, had another poke around inside the cabinet...
tweeter ID confirmed:
(AD0160/T8)
woofer:
(AD12100/W8)
..and as it turns out, the most obvious identifier for the crossovers was directly in front of me this whole time
(L speaker):
"ADF600/4000/8"
well, how about that..
and so far i've found the variable controls do offer some tweakability - where some records may appear too dark / bright etc. - this has been pretty nifty.
so I reached in to take a pic of them, so that I can actually see them:
L)
R)
played a few records over the weekend. sounds great.
at the moment i’m pretty happy with the sound/performance.
but i do wonder how much difference/improvement it could really make to restore the true/ideal capacitance values in the crossovers with replacement caps.
i guess one day ill garner the motivation to try and remove the front baffles or back panels so i can recap them... (seriously, it does not look like it's gonna be easy, genuinely concerned the panels might crack/crumble during the process of removal/reinstall)

I'd write down your preferred Lpad settings. Measure two values for each of the tweeter and mid. Those pots may not last.
certainly will! cheers 🤙🏻Have fun with it!! Probably a good idea to replace the electrolytic caps after all these decades. The Jaycar bipolars, probably the cheapest, tend to measure a bit high on a multimeter, but I was testing some today in ARTA, & they came out perfect!!
yeah definitely wanna get that done - good to know the recent jaycar bipolar caps test ok
