I am going to use this system for a few years as a sound amp for my small entertainment center. Where I can have a audio switch change the input between 5 different sources (Cable Box, DVD, Xbox, etc.). Simple stuff.
- Any problems so far?
From what I understand I am going to need crossovers in each speaker (L, R, Sub) so that each speaker is only making sounds it's suppose to (in layman's terms). I had planned to buy speakers, so can I expect to find that the crossover will be built into the speakers?
Any galleries of homemade audio equipment so I can get some ideals on how to do my chassis? All I know now is that I was planning to use a small fan to circulate air through the system...
If you guys could please help me out with those things I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

LM3876 has mute, LM3875 no mute, otherwise the specs are pretty much the same, and many here rave of the sound of the LM3875 while talk of the 3876 is almost non existant. I'd say use the LM3875 because it would be just that much simpler. And while you're at it, do a search for "gainclone" the standard circuit people are using to build their gainclones is simmilar to Rods (the ESP pages project) except it is an inverting amplifier (flips the output wave) and this does indeed sound better than the non-inverted circuit (the one you proposed) but also brings other problems into the mix (input impedance).
But since the inverted amp is simpler to build and sounds excellent I'd recomend you give it a try. As for chasis examples, PassDIY.com has a gallery of pass labs clones/inspired projects, and Nuuks site (decibel dungeon I do believe) had a gallery of gainclones.
