I have a Graham wand that fits the first series of his tonearms (i.e. 1.0 thru 2.2) but unfortunately it only has continuity in one channel. Has anyone had success in disassembling one of these for a re-wire? The bendix connector is epoxied into one end of the arm wand (left end in photo below). Is there a way to dissolve or soften the epoxy without destroying the bendix connector which is some sort of plastic.
Here's what the wand looks like.

Have you checked that the open circuit isn't where the coloured cartridge wires join the main arm wires?
Underneath the rear knurled nut there should be a retaining screw. If there is then unscrew it and the rear connector plug should come out. It may be key linked like some Bayonet plugs, so you may need to turn it one way or another through about 15 degrees & then it should come out.
Never understood how people can be duped into buying such an expensive wand that costs no more that $150 to make.
Cheers

That was my first thought. I spoke with Bob but he didn't want to repair them (I think he may be winding down). I've repaired one of these a few years back. It had the Bendix connector broken from the wand and so all it required was a rewire and then re-epoxy. Worked like a charm.I would send that back to Graham for repair. I know this is a DIY forum but that is an expensive piece of kit to be fooling around with.
I was able to remove the Bendix by applying a bit of heat slowly from a heat gun. It doesn't take a lot - I didn't measure the temp - and just keep trying to slip it out. The epoxy softened and the slipped out. Rewired and re-epoxied and now it is a good as new (possibly better because I used better wire.
There is no retaining screw on any of the 10 or so Graham wands I've seen/owned. Bendix held in place with epoxy (per Bob Graham). Simple to remove as mentioned in previous post.Underneath the rear knurled nut there should be a retaining screw. If there is then unscrew it and the rear connector plug should come out. Slight hijack - where does one go to buy a Graham turntable belt in the USA? Or do you have to buy from UK? Thanks.
