I've been doing a bunch of research for a diy projector. I have just recently purchased some items for my project.
1.)Dukane 680 OHP
2.)Sony SDM-HS53/H 15" LCD
Even I dont think my method will be the most effiecent setup, i was wondering how you think i should go about it.
I plan encasing the OHP in plywood and adding two fans for cooling. The only concern i have is how do i go about mounting the lcd screen once it is stripped. I've tried searching to see how others protect their stripped screens in an OHP setup, but cannot find anything. Let me know what you guys think of this setup. Will it work?
Thanks,
George

my main question is how exactly do you frame your lcd screens once they are stripped to protect them.
rmeltg...one of the more popular methods i have seen on other forums is to "sandwich" the lcd between two pieces of plexi glass...cut them slightly larger than the actual lcd and drill holes in the four corners of the plexi...
hope this helps
