Question to build a 20V high current power supply

Hi everyone I'm wanting to build a high current power supply for my DC-ATX unit. I got this schematic which seems fairly easy to build, however, it was listed to work with 12V and did not mention if it will work with any higher voltage.

Can I simply swap the 7812 with 7824/7822 to get 19V-20V output? Do I need to change any resistors value for 19V-20V output and to get the protection mechanism to work? Or will it just refuse to work with this voltage?
