Question regarding the MCM 8" Woofer (Part #55-2421)

Hello,
I'm interested in building a ported subwoofer using the MCM 8" 55-2421. It seems like a good choice for the small sub i'm building, and I've heard some good things about it. What I'm concerned about is the specs on this datasheet. That 40hz dip scares me!
Anyone have any info or experience with this driver?

I haven't played with that woofer but that dip does look awful. It will probably work fine for a woofer but not a sub as such. The rest of the specs look good, the price is sure right, perhaps that dip is why it doesn't sell for more.

I am currently using the TB version of that woofer. No dip, higher cost.

Hmm... that one looks great actually. Would that Qms (10.53) be a problem in any way? seems a bit high. thx for the recommendation, though, i'm really gonna look into this one.
