I am building an entire home theater set this christmas, I have made speakers before but only 3way stereo speakers, so this is the first time I am making a bunch of speakers to match. I have a question on sensitivity. Would I want to match all towers/center/rear surrounds when building the L-pads, or should I just make them as sensitive as possible and adjust them through the reciever? (Like, the SPL's will be: Center - 85db, L/R - 93db, Surrounds 94db, subs - 94db) I think it would be a waste to build such L-pads for all of those speakers just to equalize them to the center channel's sensitivity, I think I am going to leave them this way, just wanted your imput. Thanks a lot!!
i can only assume that AV recievers will let you adjust levels.
if you are aphrehensive, look at the Audax HT kit on Madisound.com. you can do worse.
hope this helps.
