Question on rectifying heater supply from AC to DC

@DIYish: what is the input sensitivity or total gain of your tube amplifier? And what is the total current draw of the heaters?
Normally you need DC heating if the input sensitivity is in the mV range. At 100mV and above it is not necessary in my experience.
If you really need it, for DC heating you need a 8VAC transformer secondary (again my experience).
