Cut my teeth on my mother's best friend's opera collection on her Motorola console and r&b on Texas radio as perfectly chronicled on the opening track by Angela Strehli on Blond and Blue (Rounder). Worked in a record shop on weekends in high school and sold hifi components. Used to camp out in front of a JBL Paragon speaker system after hours. Started collecting real young.
