Does anyone know what kind of functionality I would lose if I purchased this LCD panel without a remote control? Would I be able to operate all of the essential functions without the remote? Any help would be greatly appreciated
You do not need the remote.
However,
I bought a 822c and can't get it to display more than 24000+ colors. I am not sure if the panel is fried, or if I am doing something wrong. I tried VGA from a GEFORCE 4200 and RCA jacks. Still only 8, 3300, and 24000 video modes were available. Is this me or a bad panel. Thanks.

I am having the same problem with my panel. I cannot get it to go past 24000 colors I talked to Video and he says his will display 2M after the 24000 selection. Let me know if you have found a fix for this.
Thanks

Bagger, I would say unless you can get it for sub 30 dollars dont buy it unless it has a PS, think about it, most panels come without a ps for a reason, ( or at least the thought I have) is that the panels quit working so the PS got cannabalized for another panel and the junk panel just got stored away and forgotten about untill someone bought it from a school etc and they sell it on ebay not knowing if it works or not( not there fault but still its a gamble) One that I am never going to be willing to take, granted I have a telex that had no PS but I got it local and for like 5 bucks. So In short if the panel is a off the wall brand, etc dont buy it, someone here just bought a spectra pro and it didnt have a PS, and one cant be made because its wierd voltages etc ( it happens to be a 5 pin din) However that said Im sure there are some deals around but you just have to be willing to take the risk. and as for the proxima panels, try to Email Infocus/proxima and see what they say, it cant hurt. LOL just a friendly Public service announcement from Video Freak🙄
