Question about presentation of pages...

On the forum overview page I can select 20,40,60 ... items to be displayed on each page.

Having set that to 60, I only see 60 items per page on the overview screens. No problem so far.

When I surf to other overview pages, only 20 items per page are displayed and there is no way of setting that number to another value.

My questions:
- Is this behavior intentional?
- Is it possible to change behavior in such a way that it becomes a global setting (which I actually expected it to be)?

Hi Edwin. Do you mean setting I only see 50 as a max ?). I changed to 50 as a test and it seems OK when I go to threads with lots of posts.

Thanks for your reply, which is enlightening...
I was referring to another artifact (see attachment)

Anyway, to me it is a bit confusing how it is supposed to work in terms of functional scope...

I've no answer I'm afraid.

I've never altered that setting but I looked and its on 20 as in your picture. I counted the threads and 40 are displayed. Hmmm... so I changed it to 60 and that worked, then 100 and that worked too. But go to a forum and its always 20 that show. I altered the one in my picture too and that didn't alter things either.

I then cleared all my cookies and temp files and the "20 setting" was back by default but was actually displaying 40 as before.

So it seems like a glitch in the vbulletin software.

Maybe another glitch....when I use my Google Nexus (Samsung) phone to view threads on this forum, posts appear in differing test sizes.
This is a real pain.

I have a similar trouble, setting to 100, go to a thread, and when returning to main page, again 20. Chrome + WXP here.

Changed the general setting to 50 (left the setting for recent at 60):
- recent shows 60 topics
- other overview pages 20...

Fortunately it does not render the entire site useless..😀
