Question about Lambda Labs MF15A

Hello everyone..

I don’t want to advertise a product! Just a question because I search for light weight deep 15“ sub..

And I found the mf15a or the Seeburg gsub 1501. lambda labs termed the mf15a as a manifold sub but I just see a driver on a skewed baffle directed to the floor and some big ports.

What do you think about it? Why some folks say it’s a bandpass? Maybe I want to build something similar with 18“ 🙂

Best regards

The angled baffle creates a small front chamber by definition I guess.. imagine it like a V-baffle but split in half. The 18” version is something I’d be interested in too, need something slim to fit under my bed or under a stage when I take them out. The 18” version will have to be a little wider and deeper I suppose but the latter depends on tuning and driver 😉 I really like the flared port, that’s key element of the design and probably harder to model than regular port.. maybe someone can chime in who has some experience in calculating flared ports!

Here is the pic of the sub.. so no one has to click the link.
