Quick question about the above speakers (plans found here: https://p10hifi.net/FAL/downloads/CGR-dFonken125-free-090612.pdf) for P10 or anyone else with more speaker knowledge than I... I have a pair of FF125wk's that my son originally had mounted in a pair of FrugleHorns, which were replaced with Alpairs. I'm going to build a pair of the dFonkens (first orientation in the plans) to give my daughter, along with my old Amp Camp Amp monoblocks and an H2V2 preamp. My question is about the port/slot: Due to materials availability and esthetics, I'd like to alter the slot a bit, narrowing it by about 1/2" on each side (left and right). Can I compensate for this by A) increasing the height so as to maintain the same opening area, or B) increasing the depth? Or is there another option? Any guidance is much appreciated.
