I recently picked one of these up in very good shape and within specifications. It is an audio range filter - 99KHz max - and I'm wondering what it would be used for in practice.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Its lab test equipment. Be used for all sorts of stuff, not just audio. Its an 8-pole Butterworth but "digitally tunable" from what I can glean, and 8-pole is far too steep for anything but a roofing filter anyway.
Well, yes, I know that... I was wondering about specific uses. It's not DC accurate which it what it would need to be to be useful for what uses that I would know of.
They are beautifully made. I have to use a low noise amplifier ahead of mine to get above the noise floor though.
