Has anyone any experience of this simulation software?
I am currently using LT SPICE but an advert alerted me to this "Qucs".
Would appreciate any comments from those who use/have used it.

In comparision with LTSpice it is more useful for HF/RF cicuit simulation but general circuit design is still possible.
Unfortunately, I encountered a lot of stability issues with the MS Windows port.
Unfortunately, I encountered a lot of stability issues with the MS Windows port.
I have played with it for simple circuits - I find it useful for lumped parameter simulations of mechanical and electromechanical systems. Haven't had any stability issues for that. As with any software, try out a few "known" cases to ferret out the idiosyncrasies of the program.
The error messages aren't terribly helpful sometimes.
