hi everybody , I have a CDP YAMAHA CDX 810 and I would move the quartz from the decoder (YM3613)to the digital filter(actually a YM3433) I was thinking in tapping the xtal with his caps on the XO/XI of 3433,and therefore feed the XI entry of 3613B with XO of 3433 .
Am I right ,at your sense ? Do i have to buffer the XO from xtal ?
I use to have an old THOMSON LAD 440 and the clock from the 3433 was not bufferized, just a serie resistor and 1nf cap through
the CXD 1167Q .what' about the faisability of this mod ? thank's for your advises .

Use a separate oscillator, powered by a low-noise supply, and feed it to both of them. Neither chip is satisfactory for an oscillator. There is simply too much stuff going on inside them that will have a detrimental effect when used as a oscillator.

quartz moved
thanks jocko ,in fact I moved the quartz on the filter and the difference is not huge . Do you know where i could get shemes of oscillators , i would build one .
