Hi all!
How can I create high quality tube buffer with ECC83 for my CD-player.
Please give suggestions, or things like seeds.
Thanks for your cooperation~

It's almost impossible to make a worse choice for a buffer (cathode follower) than the ECC83/12AX7. Its high RP and low gm are why.
The ECC81/12AT7 is a much better choice, among commonly available types, for cathode follower service. The 'T7 has high gm and low RP. Those are the characteristics to look for in selecting a type for buffer service.
BTW, there are much better types than the 'T7 for CF duty. The question is do you want to get involved in scrounging such bottles up.

Build yourself a nice guitaramp with the ecc83 and get a couple of nice high gm tubes like the ecc81. Smaller resistor values, more current gain, bigger input headroom and lower output impedance are your friend with a line level buffer. Things a ecc83 doesnt have. Tubes don't have to be expensive.
