Quad ESL 63 power supply rebuild info?

Hi, I've searched and searched and found only info on the 57 power supply. I'd like to rebuild the power supplies on some 63s and can't seem to find a clear answer: do two 1N4007 in series replace each single diode here? Does anyone have a page with specific info on this section of the 63? Thanks in advance..

I do have a schematic on my website:

I also have the service manuals, but I haven't posted them. I'll be glad to email it to you if you can't find it elsewhere.

I use 3000V diodes (GP-20 30):

The supplies are a bit bizarre. There was a half-hearted attempt to regulate them with a MOV in the front end, followed by a cockroft walton voltage multiplier (with doubled up caps on part of it. Then a high value series resistor, and an neon bulb in parallel with a cap to disconnect the supply from the panel.

I'll be glad to answer any specific questions you have, they are pretty easy to work on.

Depending on the vintage of your speakers, you may have more of those diodes. The latest electronics version dumped the primary side clamp circuit for a secondary side clamp.

All 63's use a diode bridge to power the LED and the RF clamp circuit. And they all use a diode and inductor as a primitive detector, but that diode isn't a high voltage one. The early clamp uses a diode bridge and triac. But the secondary side clamp of the latest electroncis is a series of three stacked diode bridges (why three and not one?! who knows, they are british) with zener strings across each diode bridge. The diodes that make up the three diode bridges are also the 3KV GP-02 30's.
