QUAD 306 transformer noise

Sometimes the mounting bolts work themselves loose. A no-cost try to tighten them.
If that doesn't work, there are not many other remedies, except maybe to take it out and try to impregnate it again or have it re-impregnated.
But that often doesn't work.
So then it's actually replacing it. You probably can buy a used 306 for less than a new bespoke transformer.

You don't need a bespoke transformer. 2x30V secondary, whatever primary you need, 250VAC rating, and Bob's your uncle. Under $100 in my money (AUD).
In Canada we need 120 volt primary an frequency is 60hZ.

According to the size of the transformer ( 110mm diameter & 40mm height ) using a very old chart from ILP tranasformer who supplied this transformer, the transformer is 160 VA.

Then if I look at the Quad schematic transformer have dual secondarys, 59 volts each winding.

There is 7 wires from the transformer.
2 wires primary
2 X 2 wires secondary
1 is a shield ( green with a yellow line ) connected to ground.

Next step, find one ............

About securing the bolt .. have been done .. no luck still humming.

Still trying to find the best match, unfortunatly MCTA 160/55 is a bit too high and will not fit.

The original transformer was a ILP, but now ILP is Amplimo, Amplimo still make a tranformer that should fit number 57042

But I did not find a dealer for amplimo in Canada.

Does somebody have some information ?

Finally I did by a AMPLIMO 57042 and I was able to fit it .... but :
Voltage is about 3% higher
There is no shield or screen ( no green & yellow wire )
To fit inside case with supplied harware I did use only 1 rubber washer .. if we use both the case will not slide over the transformer.
