Got no experience of owning & running a 405, so....
Just a quicky (!) - What is a reasonable temperature for a Quad 405-2's heatsink to get up to when driven by a 10kHz sine wave at 65W into 8 ohms for, say 20 minutes...
No oscillation going on - put it on a spectrum analyser to make sure - clean to 5 MHz. THD+N is at 0.011% - pretty much same on both channels.
I'm seeing about 55C on the output transistors - what would people regard as reasonable for this naturally-aspirated (no fan) amp with the lid open?
Thanks
Nick
