Hello,

I use CANARE 4 wire cables with foil shields for my rack of amps, crossovers and equalizer for my tri-amp stereo. This rack of stuff will stay put without rolling and moving the cables often.

I use 4 wire twisted Mogami cable for the test leads on my bench.

The CANARE 4 wire cables with foil shields picks up the least interference.
Interference wise the 4 wire Mogami cables do better than 2 wire cables but not as well as the foil shielded 4 wire CANARE cables.

I do not know but I suspect that the 4 wire geometry and foil shielding may reduce the hum interference in heater wiring inside a tube amplifier.
